Caitlyn is our Chief Instructor and an RYA Senior Instructor. She originally got into sailing when her parents needed childcare for a week at the age of 11. She has since developed her abilities to include Powerboat Instructing, Race Coaching and Yacht Cruising, however she enjoys nothing more than training new instructors.
She set up Aylesbury Sailing Club as a recognised RYA Training Centre in 2014 at age 18 and has since increased the team from 1 to 5!
In her free time, she loves playing board games, and can be found enjoying a curl up on the sofa in front of the TV.
Ffion is a Qualified Dinghy Instructor, but started her journey as an Assistant Instructor under Caitlyn in 2016. She became qualified in 2019 as a Dinghy Instructor and went on to lead 4 courses in her first season!
If Ffion is not on the water, you will certainly find her under it as she is training to be a Diver.
Ffion spends her free time enjoying history and can be found volunteering at the Young Archaeologist Club in Aylesbury.
Neil is an Assistant Instructor and also the Centre Principle since 2020. He trained under Caitlyn in 2016 and has been assisting with courses ever since. He served on the Committee for several years, 4 of which being as Commodore before he stepped down at the 2021 AGM.
Neil is also an avid racer and can be found out on the water most weeks of the year, even through winter!
If Neil is not sailing, he is volunteering and organising Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions and trying to find ways for the youth of today to engage in Sailing.
Mac is an Assistant Instructor and served as the Principle since 2014, when the centre was officially recognised until 2020 when Neil took over
You can often find Mac at the club either racing or fixing up his boat.
Mac enjoys spending time with his family and is enjoying retirement.
Mac will often tell you a story of when he was a pilot and the sights he has seen.
