Following our recent venture in a 1922 Thames sailing barge, there have been several suggestions that we should do something similar next year. While our last venture was very successful in every way, it’s often the case that trying to replicate it could be disappointing. Having been given three different options and dates from the Thames sailing barge trust, the consensus is that we should try something different albeit with the same boat.
Therefore, the plan is to Charter ‘Pudge’ from 20th August 2024 until 24th August 2024 for a leisurely sail around the coast to Clacton and moor under the flight path and taking in the Clacton air show.
Berthing on-board would see each member sharing a two berth cabin with another member.
The cost would be around £400 per person which would include all meals and drinks on-board, travel and parking costs.
