Summer’s Over?

The August Bank Holiday Weekend saw the end of the summer race series on Sunday (congratulations to Phil Sheppard on winning the Summer Points and Summer Solo Class, Eddie Bojarski as first junior and third overall in the Summer Points, Karolina Kocurek on winning the Comet Summer Class and Andrzej Bojarski first in the Handicap Class) followed by a successful BBQ and social sail on the Bank Holiday Monday. Wind, sun and no weed – what more could anyone want?

The arrival of September sees the start of the Autumn Series of races on Sunday 1st September. As usual, the points race will start at 11am, class races at 12.40 and the long points series continues at 2pm. Don’t forget that if you are a novice racer we have a special class just for you – see here for details. Come along and give it a go.

Bart’s Bash will be on Saturday 14th September – get your free entry registered on the Bart’s Bash website as soon as possible if you are going to compete. Even if not sailing, come along and help out as part of the work party at the club on the same day.

Wednesday night racers should note that due to decreasing daylight the race start times for the remaining few races will now be 6pm.

Looking a little further ahead, the flagship Commodore’s Cup Trophy races will be on Sunday 29th September.
