As we will not be having any class races during the regular Sunday racing this season, there will be specific club championships for the most popular classes of boat at the club as follows:
Saturday 6 September – Solo
Saturday 11 October – Comet
Saturday 18 October – Laser/ILCA
Saturday 25 October – GP14 (and other double handed boats).
Racing on each of those dates will commence at 11am. The format will be 4 races, with the best 3 results to count. Races will be around 40 minutes in length with boats being finished as they cross the line after 40 minutes (with results being back calculated on the basis of average laps). Race 1 will begin at 11am, with race 2 to follow immediately afterwards (i.e. two races ‘back to back’). After a lunch break race 3 will begin shortly after 1pm and race 4 will follow immediately afterwards. A minimum of 3 boats must enter for the championship for that class to be awarded.
